Welcome to the Sexiest Page on the Internet!

WELCOME!!

Welcome to the newest fitness blog on the web (and BOY are there A LOT of them!).

This blog is dedicated to all things fitness with a focus on promoting fit bodies as sexy bodies!

Every day we find ourselves in the reflection of the bathroom mirror and pass small judgements on the way we look. We turn on the morning t.v. show and pass judgements on the way the people on the screen are presenting themselves. We get dressed for the day and make our way to the nearest coffee shop. While we are there, we glance at the newspaper or magazines in their racks and pass judgement on the cover photos.
We read article highlights about "How to Get the Best Body for Summer," "How to Feel Young Again," "How to Make Him/Her Hot for You," and "How to Feel Sexy in Your 20s, 30s, and 40s."  Reading all of these articles, we might begin to doubt our current look and/or confidence level, feeling less sexy with every judgmental page we turn.


It seems that the young have it hard, with magazines constantly telling the girls they have to look like twigs and male role models in movies or music videos telling young men they have to look a certain way (like Justin Bieber perhaps?) to get attention. Teens face difficult times as they enter high school and have to deal with mean girls and/or bullies during the time period that their bodies are transitioning through puberty into adulthood.

Adults also have a difficult time with body image. Magazine/news articles are constantly geared towards looking younger. Every January, adults are expected to set New Year's resolutions (usually with the idea of getting fit). Every spring, the shelves are stocked with new books, fitness dvd's, magazines, etc., promoting the newest ways of reaching your goal weight for summer vacation. The fitness industry has gone insane in the last fifteen years, with TONS of fad diets entering the market as each fitness-guru tries to make a buck.


There is so much pressure to look right for children, teens, and adults! Unhealthy ideas of what an acceptable body type is throughout the world are bountiful.  Eating disorders are on the rise in America and Europe.

This blog is here to fill you in on living a healthy lifestyle and being in tune to your personal fitness needs. When your body is fit, it helps boost your confidence level, keeps your mind alert, keeps your muscles strong, helps you sleep better, lowers your health risks, and provides an overall sense of happiness (thanks to constant endorphins released during your workouts. :) Being fit doesn't necessarily mean that you look like a fitness magazine cover model or a bodybuilder. It's not a specific weight on the scale. It simply means that your body is in the healthiest condition possible. In other words, a fit body is a happy and healthy body, and a happy healthy body is a sexy body. So let's all "Keep it Sexy" and get fit!!!

I will be posting healthy meal and dessert recipes once a week (meals on Monday and Desserts on Friday), to include paleo, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy free, low-carb, low-calorie, etc.

I will also be posting a work-out plan every Wednesday to provide you with new workouts to keep you challenged and intrigued. :)

Sundays will arrive with a funny fitness post, picture, or video to brighten your day and/or motivate you.

Perhaps my favorite idea for this blog is the inclusion of "Your Best Flex!" I'm asking all my readers to submit a picture of your best flex (try to keep it classy please), along with a little blurb about yourself and your fitness goals. I will be choosing and posting the most inspiring pictures once a week to help motivate other readers. I hope to see all of you up on my blog wall!!! Click here to send me your best flex pic!

Lastly, I am currently six weeks away from competing in my first fitness competition as a Fitness Diva with the WBFF. I have learned so many things about the fitness world and competing during my journey up to this point and I'm sure there will be plenty more to learn in the coming weeks. For those who are interested, I will be posting fitness competition related posts randomly with new facts I've learned, goals I've reached, etc.

So now that I've given you a breakdown of the site, I'm looking forward to really getting started!
